Transparency about money is foundational to what ImplantAuthority is. This page explains in plain English where our revenue comes from, how it interacts with the content you read, and how to recognize affiliate relationships when you encounter them on the Service.
We may earn referral fees
ImplantAuthority may earn referral fees from two sources:
- Listed dentists. Vetted dentists who appear in our directory may pay a listing fee or a per-introduction fee when we forward a qualified consumer inquiry to them. Whether a particular dentist pays us has no effect on the vetting checks they pass or fail; vetting is editorial and independent. See our editorial standards for how we draw that line.
- Financing partners. If you choose to apply for financing through a partner we have linked to, that partner may pay us a referral fee for the introduction. We are not a lender, not a broker, and not a credit-decision provider. We do not set rates. We do not approve, decline, or price your application. You apply directly with the partner under the partner's own terms and disclosures.
What we are not
To be unambiguous: ImplantAuthority is a publisher and a directory. It is not a dental practice; it does not provide treatment. It is not a lender or broker; it does not make credit decisions and does not hold loan agreements. Financing partner programs that appear on our pages are operated by independent third parties under their own terms, privacy policies, and consumer-disclosure regimes.
Editorial independence
Our editorial content — guides, pricing methodology pages, vetting reports, news, and FAQs — is produced by our editorial team independently of any referral relationships. Reviewers do not know which providers, if any, pay listing fees when they conduct vetting. Pricing data is sourced and validated against industry references and public practice marketing; it is not provided by the practices we list. Where a piece of content could reasonably be perceived as biased by a commercial relationship, we disclose that relationship in the piece itself.
How to recognize affiliate content
Per the US Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides, we use clear, consistent disclosure language anywhere a material connection exists. Specifically:
- Pages that mention financing options or link to financing partners carry an in-line note that we may receive compensation for referrals.
- Sponsored or partner content (when and if we ever publish any) will be labeled clearly at the top — not at the bottom in fine print.
- Listing tiers are labeled. Vetted, Accredited, and other tier badges mean specific verification checks have been passed — not that the listed practice pays us more.
Current partners
TODO — current financing partners. This section will be populated once Stage 6 of our roadmap (financing-partner integration) is shipped. Until then, ImplantAuthority does not have any active financing-partner relationships and does not earn any financing-referral revenue.
Opting out of affiliate content
You can manage which categories of cookies and tracking we use through the cookie banner or the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of every page. Note that affiliate disclosure obligations and your ability to see referral links are independent of cookie tracking — even with marketing cookies disabled, referral links may still appear, and they will continue to be disclosed.
FTC compliance
We comply with the FTC's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255). If you believe a piece of content on our site lacks an appropriate disclosure, please email editorial@implantauthority.com and we will correct it promptly.
